Red Team – Blue Team
Live & Virtual Competition
This competition pits two teams with opposing missions against each other. The blue team's mission is to protect computing and communication infrastructure (individually: each participant and the infrastructure assigned to them by the organizers), while the red team's mission is to disrupt the blue team’s communication channels.
When the competition's time is up, the blue team’s score is the number of packets its servers sent successfully, and the red team’s score is the number of packets it disrupted. A winning team is declared, as well as one individual participant within each team (the one who sent/disrupted most packages). Cooperation among members of the same team is not taken for granted but it is possible, and there are cases in which blue team members may hack other team members to make them lose points, thus gaining a relative advantage.
Required Skills
From the blue team: cyber defense skills.
For the red team: cyber-hacking skills.
